Wedding Wednesday: Matt and Nicole Six

Matt and Nicole met at a Disney themed birthday party for a mutual friend during their senior year of college.  Nicole was currently attending the University of North Carolina, and Matt Wake Forrest. The two ended up bonding and spent the entire night talking. All while dressed as Minnie Mouse and Pumba! The couple both graduated a few weeks later, but the connection they made that night continued to grow.

While Nicole was attending graduate school at Columbia in NYC, Matt remained in North Carolina living and working in Charlotte. During a weekend visit to NYC to see Nicole, Matt had the perfect proposal planned out. All the way down to a photographer to capture the event on film (which took place at Columbus Circle!), to a photo shoot planned afterwards at Central Park!

Matt and Nicole were married on June 8th, 2013 at Nicole’s childhood church, St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Winston-Salem, NC. The reception to follow took place in her parent’s neighborhood at Brookberry Farm. It was a wonderful combination of comfort and loving memories that created a wonderfully special day for the couple.

The day centered around an air of Southern Charm, with beautiful touches to help make guests feel at home, welcome, and a part of their love. Yellow flowers were placed all around in hopes that guests would see them and smile.
