Local and Fresh!

We know that many of you are trying to be more conscious of where your food is coming from these days....are we are happy to say that buying local is a focus of ours.  You can certainly tell the difference when fresh ingredients are used; especially when they are delivered to our bakery right off of the farm!

EGGS:  Our eggs come from Ward’s Farm, right up the street in McLeansville, NC.  We get two runs each week.

PECANS:  The Pecans that are used in our cakes year round come from Elbie Powers, The Nut House in Roseboro, NC.

MILK:  The milk we use in our cakes and to drink with cake slices, chocolate milk used to make hot chocolate, homemade eggnog that we sell by the cup & use to flavor our eggnog yogurt, whipping cream that is whipped to top our key lime pies and  the variety of ice Cream flavors we have in stock each day all come from Homeland Creamery in Julian, NC.

YOGURT:  Our Frozen Yogurt Mix is delivered to us from Jackson Dairy in Dunn, NC.

STRAWBERRIES:  Of course, we use local strawberries in our Fresh Strawberry Buttercream Cake and other recipes in the shop.  These come from various local farms in season!

Can you feel the love?

It is that time of year again...almost February!  That means that it is time to romance your sweetheart for Valentine's Day, and what better way to woo them than with something sweet?  

We are excited to have a few new things for you all this year and want to give you a tour of all of the decadence that is to come~

Something completely new for 2013 are our Cake Parfaits.  We are so excited about these and hope you will become addicted to them just like all of us at the shop.  We layer our homemade cake crumbles with different delectable fillings for you enjoy.  We will have a variety of flavors to choose from...WARNING:  It is hard to pick just one.

Decorated cupcakes will be available to grab on the go, as well as by special order.  You can come in and pick just one... or we can put together an assorted box tied with a satin bow.

Sugar cookies with romantic words are sure to win them over ... coated in an almond royal icing.

Champagne Cupcakes have been the buzz in the shop this week.  They are so delicious and topped with a candied rose petal....how can it get any better?

Red Velvet Brownies melt the heart and are oh...so....yummy!  We iced ours with a Cream Cheese icing and a sprinkle of confetti.

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries....enough said!

We have had a makeover for our Red Velvet Whoopie Pies that you already love....we just made them a little more romantic.  How could you not love these?

Cupcake Topiaries will be available in a range of flavors and decoration....these will feed more than one person, so feel free to share.

Last, but not least.....PUPCAKES!  You can't leave out your pup, so we have packaged our Pupcakes in festive bags so that your little one can feel the love too!

It is great to pre-order what you need for Valentine's celebrations.....but we will try our best to keep it all stocked in the bakery every day.
