Valentine's was sweet at Maxie B's

We had a nonstop Valentine's week at Maxie B's, creating special goodies for lots of sweeties in the Triad!  Valentine's Day was our second busiest holiday ever and it has quickly come and gone.  Now we can look back at all that was accomplished over 7 days!

While helping 300 plus customers each day, we:
  • sold over 1,900 slices of cake
  • used 750 lbs. of powdered sugar to make our icings
  • went through 540 lbs. of sweet cream butter
  • used over 2,500 local, free-range eggs from Ward's Farm in McLeansville
  • baked with 450 lbs. of granulated sugar
  • decorated and boxed over 2,500 cupcakes
  • sliced 210 lbs. of whole strawberries for the filling in our Fresh Strawberry Buttercream Cake
  • dipped and sold 250 chocolate covered strawberries (on Friday and Saturday)
  • made hundreds and hundreds of Chocolate Truffles and Red Velvet Whoopie Pies
  • made batch after batch after batch of our homemade icings.....to ice all of the cakes and cupcakes that were purchased, we went through 700 lbs. of Cream Cheese Icing, over 1,050 lbs. of our Vanilla Buttercream Icing and 350 lbs. of our Dark Chocolate Icing
  • our staff worked hard to keep things iced and ready for customers, working over 860 hours!
Needless to say, we are pooped but so thankful for the following and support the community has for our bakery!  We are in the kitchen today, back at it....so if you haven't met your limit of sweets yet this week, come by and see us for more goodies.
