Source revealed: Myquillyn Smith of Nesting Place...the creative mind behind our new look at the shop....

So many of you have asked about who did the re-decorating at our shop last year on the dessert cafe side....Myquillyn Smith and I had a ball with this project. It all started innocently enough...just tossing a few ideas around on a cold winter day. Before I knew it...she had a whole CD of ideas and sketches and fabric swatches! It was such a great look that I had to go for it...even though that was not on my "To Do" list at that moment in time.

Well....I am so glad we did it. The shop is so much more comfortable and inviting. Thank you Myquillyn....we miss you in Greensboro but are so happy that you are content in Charlotte near your family.

For those of you who want to keep abreast of what she is up to...here is her blog:

There is even a cute story she did on how we chose the blue leopard fabric for the booths here at the shop and you can buy her fun tassels, etc. online!

As for the specific items we used in the shop....I have pasted our source sheet below. It has all the paint colors, etc. Just in case anyone wants to know! We always run out of copies in the shop!

Maxie B’s Source Sheet!

I would like to first of all thank my husband, Lewis, for all of his hard work , attention to detail, and patience with this project! I could not have done it without you!

Also….many, many thanks to Myquillyn Smith whose ability to understand my vision for the store was effortless! She made this project so much fun. She ihas moved to Charlotte and is home schooling her 3 boys. Good luck Miss Myq……please visit us when you are back in town!

Because you have asked…..here is the info on most of the fun new things for the shop! If I have forgotten something…just ask! You can reach me by e-mail at info@maxieb.com
